About

I'm Lyall, a generation Y health professional who enjoys using apparatus for capturing moving images from time to time.

Conversations, wine, coffee and socks are nice too.

For the most part this tumblelog isn't a beacon of erudition however occasionally I post serious entries about healthcare and the image of nursing.

I have a surprising number of fashion and chaps related posts.

I run Space Rules, contribute to We Come From A Sunburnt Country a tumblr about Australia and a tumblr dedicated to gastronomic atrocities of the past called Aspic And Other Delights .

Currently living in Port Hedland and working in South Hedland, Western Australia at the regional hospital.

Ask a question.

So, apparently Vancouver is awesome or something. No wonder I want to live there full-time. (full story here) “VANCOUVER is still the most liveable city in the world, according to a new ranking from the Economist Intelligence Unit. The Canadian city topped a “liveability survey” of 140 cities, as it did in 2008. The ranking scores each city from 0-100 on 30 factors spread across five areas: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Vancouver’s average score was 98—0.8 less than last year—but the margins at the top are all tight, with the best ten cities scoring over 96.”

cool!

•••• Guess they didn’t take into account days of rain and suicide! And Pittsburgh came in like 29th! Huh! Gotta be joking.
On the other hand — Vienna, Melbourn and Toronto are pretty fine. And Perth is cool cause Mabes, Buzz and Lyall live there!—BP

Woo Perth. Thanks John Glenn for inspiring us to be the ‘City of Lights’.
I heaps want to check out Canada.
