Infections following a tongue-piercing led to fatal brain abscesses in the case of one 22-year-old, according to a report published in the October issue of the journal Archives of Neurology.
This reminds me of the time when a dental X-Ray caused my Mum to discover my younger sister had pierced her tongue. It was one of the funnier episodes in my sister’s teenage years.
