About

I'm Lyall, a generation Y health professional who enjoys using apparatus for capturing moving images from time to time.

Conversations, wine, coffee and socks are nice too.

For the most part this tumblelog isn't a beacon of erudition however occasionally I post serious entries about healthcare.

I run Space Rules and contribute to We Come From A Sunburnt Country - a tumblr about Australia.

Currently marooned in Perth, Western Australia.

5:45pm and still 100 fahrenheit, in Spring.

What’s wrong with Celsius? :(

I thought Fahrenheit was consigned to history in Australia (and every nation on Earth except Burma, Liberia and another I can’t recall right now) just like pre-decimal currency.

Australians have been using degrees Celsius to measure temperature since 1972.

We should be proud of our nation’s sensible metric measures and extend the gift of metrication to those few unfortunate nations still lumbering under oppressive antiquated measurement systems. It would be cruel not to.
